Kenzo World Launch

What we did:

To launch Kenzo World Fragrance into the New Zealand market in 2017, Publicity PR held a spectacular launch event at Seafarers, attended by 80 of the hottest media, VIPs and influencers in town.

On arrival, guests were offered bespoke Kenzo-blue cocktails and bracelets scented with the Kenzo World fragrance, they were then invited to pose for photos in front of a Kenzo branded media wall.  

A dynamic Kenzo World Fragrance short film was shown on a big screen and guests were treated to a live dance performing the choreography from the film.  The striking green Kenzo dress, worn by the dancer in the film, was on display at the event with other Kenzo World couture.

DJ Jamie Haines had everyone up dancing to her lively set – a feat that the client deemed impossible, saying: “You’ll have a hard time getting a room full of Kiwis to dance, especially on a Thursday night.” But we did it!

Complimentary beer and wine was available for the duration of the three hour event and delicious canapés were served, including bespoke Kenzo World eye sushi.

A roaming photographer captured all the action, while the Snap Click Photo Booth provided lots of laughs for guests and gave them a memento of the night to take away. Guests also walked away with gift bags containing the fragrance.

Publicity PR looked after all aspects of the event management, including invitations, guest lists, catering, event styling, photography and entertainment. PR was managed internally by the distributors.

Results:

The event garnered much social media coverage and received positive feedback from guests. According to Spy Magazine, it was the “party of the week.”
